Holiday Policy
A regular employee is eligible for the following paid holidays sixty(60) days after his or her start date. Holiday pay will be at regular or "straight time" rates. Following is a list of holidays available to all eligible employees. This Holiday Policy and the following schedule shall remain in effect until further notice.
New Year's Day
Martin Luther King Day
Good Friday
Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day
Day following Thanksgiving
Christmas Day
Floating day set by the Company
Personal Holiday (subject to prior agreement with your supervisor and staff needs)
If the Holiday is on a Weekend:
When a holiday falls on a Saturday, then the Friday before will be the holiday. If the holiday falls on a Sunday, then it is taken on the following Monday. If you are scheduled to work on a holiday weekend, you take the weekend day as your holiday, not the weekday.
Employees must work their regular schedule the workdays immediately before and after the holiday to receive holiday pay. An employee who is absent either day due to illness may still receive holiday pay by presenting satisfactory proof of illness. An employee absent on either day for jury duty will receive holiday pay upon submitting satisfactory evidence of actual jury service. Employees who are on layoff, disability, or leave are not entitled to holiday pay.
